Gong Ting Pu Er Wang, which translates to "Imperial Grade Pu Er Tea King", was selected as the winner of the 2006 Guang Zhou Tea Expo Famous Tea Quality Competition Gold Award. Amongst the judges back then was Hang Zhou Tea Research Centre's President, Mr. Luo Shao Jun. You can tell that this tea cake is very special just from its appearance - the tea cake is made mostly from young golden tea buds. The infusion is bright amber in color while the taste is extremely smooth and with strong aftertaste. We highly recommend this tea cake to all Pu'er tea collectors.

This tea is earthy and tasty. It brews up dark and strong. It is slightly sweet. While it could benefit from further aging it is good to drink now. It came sealed in heavy duty plastic to prevent any moisture getting at it during its trip across the Pacific.
