Feng Huang Tuo Cha
Brand & Factory : Tu Lin, Da Li Nan Jian Tea Industry | Type : Sheng/Raw | Vintage Year : 2010
(rating: 4.6 out of 5)
This unconventional 250 grams Tou Cha is made from Da Ye Zhong tea leaves from Nan Jian Wu Liang Mountain in Yunnan province. On the box is the Chinese words "Da Feng Chao Yang", which translate to "Rising Phoenix". This is the 25th Anniversary Special Edition tea. As soon as you open the box you will notice the exceptionally strong fragrance. A very good Tuo Cha that can only get better as it ages.

Very good puer. My current favorite, stocked up on some more.

Oskar (2/27/2010)
This is almost the best puer Ive had! Only a bit to young and astringent yet (Compared to Ba Da Da Hei Shan You Ji Bing Cha -03, which is my current favourite). This tea has a rich taste and a depth that surely will come to its right after a few years on the shelf. Wonderful tea!

One of the best young Pu-erh that Ive bought recently!!! Thanks!

This is my first puer tea cake Ive tried from TeaSpring. I bought another cake earlier, but Im still aging it for a few years. The Feng Huang Tuo Cha tastes sweet, like the candy I ate growing up called Haw Flakes. This tea is rather mellow and mild- maybe because it has aged already (Im not really sure). It seems okay and tastes good. I will continue drinking it to see.

This is the first pu-erh tea Ive tried, so I dont have a frame of reference to compare to. However, this is excellent tea, and Im looking forward to drinking it for some time to come.

Havent yet cracked this one open. Perhaps Ill age it a while.

My first foray with real pu-erh and I was not disappointed. Good for a dozen steepings, you can brew an evolving tea for hours. Flavor is like that of a black, but the fermentation skews it into its own territory.

Very fragrant with a sweet after taste that smoothes out after a few infusions. Good raw pu-erh.

William (2/18/2010)
This raw cake had sweeter finishes on the 5th and 6th infusions. Bitter at the start, this one is a good one to put away for aging.

love the color and after taste

young and strong sheng puerh ! It is very well compressed and i left it for aging

Amber color with a little bit of bite.Still young should get better with age.Good for 2-3 infusion.
